Robotics

Taking the operator out of the hazardous task.

We design and build robotic systems for the jobs that still put a person between heavy equipment and stored energy.

Loading and unloading, connecting and disconnecting, sampling and inspection — a great deal of industrial work is still done by hand, on a catwalk, in weather, within reach of a pressurised vessel or a moving machine. These are the tasks worth automating first, because the case for them is measured in exposure rather than only in labour hours.

We work the whole problem: the mechanism, the vision and sensing that lets it find its target, the control that makes the motion safe and repeatable, and the integration back into the plant or terminal system that records what happened.

  • Vision-guided manipulation — approach, alignment and engagement without a person in the hazard zone.
  • Automated connection & transfer — making and breaking connections for bulk material and liquid movement.
  • Standardised coupling — a common connection approach across road, rail, marine and terminal piping.
  • Mechanical design in-house — parametric CAD through to manufacturable geometry.
  • Mechatronics & controls — drives, sensing and safety interlocks designed together rather than integrated late.
  • Plant integration — the robot is a participant in the operational record, not an island.
  • Prototype-led development — designs proven on working hardware before they are committed.

Applications

Where it applies

01

Terminals & plants

Loading and unloading, connection and disconnection, sampling and routine inspection at fixed facilities.

02

Heavy transport

Handling tasks around trucks, rail cars and marine transfer, where the operator is otherwise working at height or under pressure.

03

Mining & construction support

Repetitive or hazardous handling around fixed plant and material transfer points.
